KSrelief Continues Field Efforts to Shelter Displaced Families Affected by Storm in Southern Gaza Strip
King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) implemented urgent field relief interventions to assist displaced families in camps in the southern Gaza Strip after a recent storm caused extensive damage to tents and personal belongings. The interventions are being carried out through the implementing partner, the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage.
The assistance focuses on strengthening emergency response measures by stabilizing damaged tents, protecting them from flooding, providing replacement shelters for affected families, and addressing water accumulation inside the camps. KSrelief teams are also conducting field monitoring to identify and prioritize the most vulnerable families, particularly women, children, and the elderly, to alleviate suffering and provide safe shelter amid deteriorating humanitarian conditions, ongoing displacement, and severe challenges.
Displaced families in the Gaza Strip affirmed that aid from the Kingdom through KSrelief has been a vital humanitarian lifeline during a time of extreme hardship. They expressed deep appreciation for the support, noting that it helped ease the burden of displacement and provided protection against harsh weather conditions. Beneficiaries added that these initiatives restored a sense of security and instilled renewed hope among mothers and children despite the severity of the circumstances they continue to face.
This intervention comes as part of the ongoing humanitarian efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip by providing essential assistance, mitigating the effects of adverse weather conditions, and strengthening community resilience amid escalating humanitarian needs.
