Al-Madinah Chamber Reveals Bright Future for Hospitality and Tourism Sector in Madinah

Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Chamber highlighted the growth in the region's hospitality and tourism sector, spurred by an increase in visitors to Madinah.

During the Umrah and Ziyarah Forum's final day, Chairman of the chamber Mazen Rajab highlighted investment opportunities in the hospitality sector, stressing the need for collaboration between the government and private sectors to align with Vision 2030 goals.

He noted that Madinah requires an additional 79,000 hotel rooms by 2030 and highlighted the "Rua Al Madinah" project, spanning 1.5 million square meters near the Prophet's Mosque and aiming to develop smart cities that enhance hospitality.

Rajab explained the role of real estate investment funds in constructing 90,000 housing units to support major hotel and development projects. He also highlighted the potential impact of allowing non-Saudi ownership in Makkah and Madinah on attracting foreign investment.

The chamber's participation focused on strengthening partnerships and attracting local and international investors to tap into Madinah's unique advantages as a global religious and tourist destination.
