
Jazan Coffee Cooperative Supports Thousands of Farmers
The Coffee Cooperative in Jazan marked International Coffee Day, celebrated annually on October 1, by highlighting its substantial efforts to support farmers and advance agricultural sustainability in the region.
The cooperative reported that its support now reached more than 600 shareholders. Furthermore, over 2,000 farmers have benefited from its specialized services, which include agriculture, guidance, and technical support. Demonstrating a focus on talent development, the cooperative's coffee training institute has enabled more than 300 young men and women to enroll in vocational training programs focused on the coffee value chain.
In terms of community empowerment, the cooperative has provided awareness and economic enhancement programs to more than 150 women. These efforts are bolstered by over 15 strategic partnerships the cooperative has secured.
The Coffee Cooperative in Jazan remains committed to enhancing the status of Saudi coffee and consolidating its role as a key component of the region’s economic and agricultural identity.
