Masam Project Clears 1,280 Explosives in Yemen
King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Masam Project removed 1,280 explosives across various regions of Yemen during the fourth week of September. The cleared explosives included 1,158 unexploded ordnances, 113 anti-tank mines, eight anti-personnel mines, and an explosive device.
The efforts bring the total number of explosives cleared since the start of the Masam Project to 516,499. These explosives were randomly planted throughout Yemeni territory, endangering innocent civilians, including children, women, and older people, and sowing fear in once-safe communities.
Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, continues its mission to rid the Yemeni land of explosives as part of its broader effort to protect civilians and enable the Yemeni people to live safely and with dignity.
